Leadership and strategic Management. 

 LEADERS ARE MANAGERS BUT MANAGERS ARE NOT NECESSARILY LEADERS.

Manager is a very popular and common word in business world describes in a vast range of administrative background of a business organizations. Managers are the people who work to a common vision by handling,controlling,monitoring,measuring and evaluating the manageable things in a organization such can be people related or cost related measurable and valuable business items.

Leader in the sense can be describe as a person who lead their subordinates to a achievable goal with examples and motivational facts where the followers also give the fullest cooperation with their abilities in a effective manner to the organization to perform well.

    With the new technological and strategical improvements in modern business world CHANGE is one of the most discussed attitude a leader should have in the way forward with new generation of people and new revaluation in the opportunities all around the universal businesses.  

  


John P. Kotter expressed in details about the differences between a leader and a manager by his article of "What leaders really do" J.P Kotter 01/03/2000.

Leadership skills mainly divided into two types as Intellectual skills and People skills and by the article of Malcom Higgs on 2003 he has touched the concept of emotional intelligence of a leader which explained as very important subject for a leader to have more than higher IQ or Technical levels. 

When the title applied practically to my own industry of tea plantations it is largely depends on genuine leadership practices where the huge number of work force performing day today work whom without a argument need to be influenced by good leadership characters for their own betterment rather than influencing with the trade union activities while finding solutions for their problems in working environment.                                                                                                                                                  Basically it is important to understand that The leadership heavily based on connection with people and The management on connection with controls. obviously the argument can be justified as NOT ALL MANAGERS ARE EFFECTIVE LEADERS.

Conclution.

In the modern trend of the organizations it is effective leadership need to play a major role than the efficient management in order to achieve the success with the inspired work force which is true and real satisfied long term sustainable organization.

        1. We can see employees face difficulties when there is no proper leadership. Staff would like to become followers rather than becoming employees Who work under managers. Managers always controls the staff but, a leader direct their followers by motivating them to reach the common goal of the organization. Therefore, a good leader can be a good manager of an organization but, a manager should have leadership qualities to become a good leader.
